Divine Will explained using the analogy of Jesus
as our blood
Chapter 5
"To preach. . . the unsearchable riches of Christ" Eph
3:8
“… all things have been created through him and for
him. He himself is before all things, and in him all
things hold together.” Colossians 1:16
“… See, I am making all things new.” Rev 21:5
Last time we used the lungs and breath analogy, how reflecting
on it can help us meditate on the connection we mysteriously
have with God. Body analogies are so helpful because God
uses creation to reveal the deeper working of our spiritual lives.
The Catechism (see N. 34 below) begins by speaking about
creation and how God can be found in His creation, we also
see Jesus in a passage explain why creation is such a strong
revelation of God see Volume 19 April 28, 1926 (The
Creation and the Celestial Mama are the most perfect
examples of the living in the Divine Will. How the Virgin
surpassed everyone in suffering).
This breath analogy focused on the Holy Spirit, whom is
generated from the love between the Father and the Son thus
St Maximillian Kolbe coined the term the Divine Conception.
Being love, the Holy Spirit is in one sense total sharing thus air
is a good analogy because we “share” our air. In one moment
the air a person breathes can be in another person’s lungs! We
cannot stop this naturally, so too we should not naturally stop
love in this sense only at deeper levels of personal interaction
is “love” refined, an intimate exchange made through prayer-
that was the point of the talk last week. But we have another
part of us that is totally exclusive and unique from all eternity.
