and forms the Life of His Will. Oh, how happy He becomes
then!

Jesus finds in us His Will that loves Him, courts Him, and keeps
Him in feast. And then what happens, my daughter? Our
breath, our heartbeat and motion become the breath, the
heartbeat and the motion of Jesus; we receive His life, we

make of It our model, and all our acts are modelled by the Life
of Jesus.

3 psalm Antiphon: Mary gave birth to the king whose name is
eternal: she united the joy of a mother with the honour of a
virgin. Such as this has never happened before nor will it

Short Reading Micah 5:2-3,4

The Lord will abandon them till the time when she who is to
give birth gives birth. Then the remnant of his brothers will
come back to the sons of Israel. He will stand and feed his flock

with the power of the Lord, with the majesty of the name of the
Lord his God. He himself will be peace.

Benedictus Antiphon:

Today a wonderful mystery is announced: something new has
taken place: God has become man; he remained what he was

and has become that which he was not; and though the two
natures remain distinct, he is one.
