Para. 233 Christians are baptized in the name of the Father

and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: not in their names , for
there is only one God, the almighty Father, his only Son and

the Holy Spirit: the Most Holy Trinity.
Looking at another biblical angle, to understand this concept of
Will, the bible also uses the term “fellowship” to guide us into
the understanding of the Father as our heartbeat. Note: St Paul
speaks of this fellowship in 2 Cor 13:14 (liturgically used as one
of the opening greetings of the Mass). At the start of the bible
we see the Trinity acting as one “fellowship” because the Trinity
has only one Will- the DW, not three wills that have to agree!
We saw in the last talk that is why Jesus had to become human
to obtain another Will, which he could constantly surrender to
the Father and the Holy Spirit (and Himself as part of the
Trinity), to effect reparation for the sin of Adam in doing his own
will and rejecting of the DW. See below Scripture speaks of
God the singular-
Genesis 3:22 “The Lord God said behold the man is
become as one of us to know good and evil”. Genesis
11:7 - Tower of Babel- “Let us go down and confound
their language”. Also Isaiah 6:8 “I heard the voice of the
Lord saying whom shall I send and whom shall go

for us”.

We can see why when the great Our Father prayer says
“hallowed be your name” it’s saying so much eg may we
reverence, esteem and follow your essence, your meaning,
your will or let your DIVINE WILL reign in us etc….
7 So having only one will in a sense the Trinity could not atone
for sin- a wayward will- to itself so it needed the incarnation;
one of them taking a separate Will. Note Augustine’s definition
of sin looking for the right thing in the wrong place. The
