you surrender and die to self for God, that has great power
because you like God are a person. God is a person. So even if
God is infinite and we are made from dust- we still are a person
and surrendering and dying to self takes huge courage and

faith and love- so has a power with God , who is then happy to
fill that voluntary emptiness with his divine qualities and

transformation.
We could say another form of the hypostatic union is created in
the Divine Will. One priest after hearing the teaching of the
Divine Will by Fr Iannuazzi made the point the Divine Will is like
we need a new term for the hypostatic union operating in a
human being, in the last chapter I mentioned the best term to
date was the Eternal Mode. The hypostatic union is the term
describing the union of divine and human nature in Jesus.
Just to contextualise the rounds. I heard Frances Hogan speak
on the Divine Will and she put it well. Volumes 1-4 in the Divine
Will establish the roots, then 5-9 the trunk and 10-12 the roof.
The upper volumes are decorations. And rounds are the
decorations. An image may help. It’s like that story of a child
playing on the keyboard of a piano and a maestro pianist
comes alongside the child and plays in unison turning the
child’s feeble noise into a great sonata! This is us doing
rounds. In fact as Luisa was doing rounds Jesus often came
alongside her and did the rounds perfectly and taught her how

to improve. At the end of Volume 34 he told her a “secret”
that when a soul is trying to do acts in the Divine Will, he
redoes them perfectly keeping them hidden for her until
heaven- not even telling her He is doing this for them!
I made the point before that Jesus first worked in Luisa the gift
of the Divine Will then explained what he had done. And this is
very true of the rounds. For Jesus scattered the teachings of
