The Father’s part is heartbeat, CCC para. 269 expresses our
experience of this as the Father being the master of earthly
history. This is all a true “self-emptying” or love of the Father.

This passage from Sergius Bulgakov in The Glenstal Book of
Readings: for the seasons p.314 is very moving: “The Kenosis
of the Father is the creation of the world out of nothing. The act
of creation is not just a manifestation of divine might, but a
voluntary self-diminishment, a metaphysical kenosis whereby
the divine Absolute admits the existence of beings outside
itself.”
