The Easter Season reveals the call to live in this Divine Life
Divine Will– April 2020 Canberra Prayer Meeting
Chapter 7
1 Peter 1: “… Even the angels long to catch a glimpse of these
things.”
Summary: the quote from Peter shows the human race is the
centre of something happening in the Universe by God’s action.
We are so privilege to have this gift of God. The centre (soul) of
man was made to contain God but after the fall the passions
took over. As we see in the gospel of Mark Jesus leads us back
by our intention, from these wild beasts.
The gift of the Divine Wil, is God showing us how much we are
loved by God and are made for great things, with this
confidence God can use temptation to show us how our hearts
need deep renewal. Thus move to our real life hidden in God-
we see in the intercessions at morning prayer. Through this we
reach our place of rest- Hebrews!
It’s powerful to reflect on what happened to Jesus after the
resurrection? Did he go up to heaven? The angel said he went
back to Galilee the place of his home town, the everyday life,
but it was changed now- it was a new dimension of this new
interior life of God with the soul of those that follow him. The
three woman let the other apostles know- so too we (Blessed
Virgin Mary’s children) are like the ”women” letting the church
know about this new life of the DW. The fulfilment of the
Catholic faith.
Interesting, the Benedictine ABBEY Pascal candles design for
this year features Mary Magdalene brings this news to the
apostles, thus she was called the Apostle to the Apostles- Luisa
took the confirmation name (I heard) Mary Magdalene. May this
be prophetic for this year of the Church encountering the DW!
