As the Apostle says: The circumcision you have undergone is
not an operation performed by human hands, but the complete
stripping away of your unregenerate nature. This is the
circumcision that Christ gave us, and it is accomplished by our
burial with him in baptism. Baptism cleanses the soul from the
pollution of worldly thoughts and inclinations: You will wash
me, says the psalmist, and I shall be whiter than snow.

May the blood of Christ, who offered himself as the perfect
sacrifice to God through the Holy Spirit, purify our inner self
from dead actions so that we may serve the living God.
Hebrews 12:14-29 The approach to the mountain of the

And be careful … any of you does not degrade religion like
Esau, who sold his birthright for one single meal. .. .What you
have come to is nothing known to the senses: not a blazing fire,
or a gloom turning to total darkness, or a storm; or trumpeting
thunder or the great voice speaking which made everyone that
heard it beg that no more should be said to them. … But what
you have come to is Mount Zion and the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem where the millions of angels have
gathered for the festival, with the whole Church in which
everyone is a ‘first-born son’ and a citizen of heaven. You have
come to God himself…. Make sure that you never refuse to
