listen when he speaks. …. I shall make the earth shake once
more and not only the earth but heaven as well. The words
once more show that since the things being shaken are created
things, they are going to be changed, so that the unshakeable
things will be left. We have been given possession of an
unshakeable kingdom. Let us therefore hold on to the grace
that we have been given and use it to worship God in the way
that he finds acceptable, in reverence and fear. For our God is
a consuming fire.

Finally, as COVID-19 reminds us of our interconnectedness,
we know it will pass. However, our connection in Christ is both
present and eternal. “We are in God. We are in Christ. Our
connection to God is not static. We are united with the life of
God. With God we create, with God we suffer and with God we
bring forth life” (Fr Trevor Trotter, Columban). May that
awareness and the hope it engenders guide and sustain us. In

March 28, 1905 Effects of disturbance. Continuous
encounter of Jesus with the soul.
As I was in my usual state, blessed Jesus came for just a little,
and since I had said to a soul who was disturbed: ‘Think of not
wanting to be disturbed, not only for your own good, but more
so out of love for Our Lord, because a soul who is disturbed is
not only disturbed herself, but makes Jesus Christ disturbed’,
later I said to myself: ‘What nonsense I spoke – Jesus can
never be disturbed.’
