The Holy Spirit, as breath of God, and the Divine Will
Chapter 4
FIAT
1 Peter 1:17 “… you are acknowledging as your Father …”
Do not be surprised when I say: You must be born from above.
The wind blows wherever it pleases; you hear its sound, but
you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. That
is how it is with all who are born of the Spirit.’ Jn 3
“Come, and I will show you the bride that the Lamb has

You must be made new in mind and spirit, and put on the
new nature of God’s creating” (Eph 4:23,24).
One of the insightful analogies to use to help us grasp the
infinite gift of Living in the Divine Will is to think about our lungs.
St Bonaventure made the point that creation is God’s footprint-
how we can understand his character. There are several
mysterious points where our bodies “melt” into the spiritual
realm. One is our lungs. It’s interesting that Jesus said to Luisa
that the different organs of the body represent the Body of

Therese of Lisieux wanted to be the heart but Jesus said those
in the DW will be represented by the skin. Because skin covers
the body and gives it beauty- (Volume 13 January 11, 1922.)
Skin is also that mysterious point where the body touches but is
distinguished from the outside. It makes us “us” and keeps
what is not us away from us. A part of our body that does this
even more delicately is the lungs. The lungs take in air as it
passes through several more restricted passages until it
