I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught
up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the
body I do not know God knows. And I know that this man
… was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things,
things that no one is permitted to tell. 2 Cor 12:2-4
“The Rising Sun has come to visit us to guide our feet in the
way of peace” Lk 1:78,7
In the last introduction we elaborated on what St JPII coined as
the New & Divine Holiness. Let’s begin by looking at our current
Pope using similar ideas-
Pope Francis 2015 Encyclical: “Laudato Si'
“The ultimate purpose of creatures is not to
be found in us. Rather, all creatures are
moving forward, with us and through us,
towards a common point of arrival, which is
God.” N.8. How we arrive at this point, I discussed in the last
chapter, it’s by allowing God’s Divine Will (Divine Will) to reign
in us. The quote is also a recognition that all of creation in
animated by this Divine Will. As the next quote elaborates too-
“As Christians, we are also called to accept the world as a
sacrament of communion, as a way of sharing with God and
our neighbours on a global scale. It is our humble conviction
that the divine and the human meet in the slightest detail in the
